Imagine with me for a second: You have been looking at cars for months trying to figure out which one you will buy next. You look at the sensible options all the way to your dream car.
Then the day comes and you finally pull the trigger and purchase the high end car you’d been eyeing for years.
You’ve worked your butt off to be able to afford the down payment. You roll out of the dealership, the sun is shining, and you feel on top of the world.
You are going to take care of your prized possession!
So you sign up for the monthly car wash membership, you enroll in the “member” plan at the dealership that includes regular waxings, tire rotations, oil changes, detailing and tune-ups.
You are going to make sure this car runs and looks as good as the day your drove it from the lot 1,2,3 years from now. Right!?
When you work hard for something, you know the value of it and without hesitation you put in the time, money, and effort to take good care of it. Cars are machines with many different working parts with one ultimate function: to take you from A to B.
Like the cars, our bodies are machines. But unlike the car example, our bodies are infinitely more complex and have many more functions to serve.
So, I ask you - How valuable is your body and quality of life?
OUR CURRENT HEALTH CARE SYSTEM ONLY ADDRESSES PART OF THE ISSUE
For most people, our approach to healthcare is reactionary. We get sick and we go to the doctor. Many times we come home with pills to help us get better. Sometimes, the pills don’t treat the issue; they just treat the symptoms and we are stuck taking these pills indefinitely.
But there is a better way.
A natural way.
A preventative, holistic approach to a healthier, better life.
How great would it be if you could throw away all those pills, feel better, feel younger, be leaner, be stronger, and have more energy?
It is possible!
LIVE A BETTER LIFE THROUGH HOLISTIC HEALTH
Approaching our health holistically is like paying attention to each gadget and gizmo in the machine. If one is not functioning correctly, the rest cannot perform to its greatest potential. All the ways we care for our body should work together with the common goal to achieve optimal function.
Everything we put into our bodies has an effect on how it performs.
If you are working your butt off at the gym, doing yoga for stress, and drinking more water every day but not paying attention to the quality of food or water you are putting into your body, you are ignoring a large piece of the puzzle.
Every input ultimately effects the output.
HOLISTIC INPUTS THAT EFFECT OUR HEALTH
-
PHYSICAL INPUTS
-
Food
-
Beverages/water
-
Environmental (air quality, cleaning supplies, plastic exposure, heavy metal exposure, etc…)
-
Skincare products
-
Sleep
-
Supplements
-
-
MENTAL & EMOTIONAL INPUTS
-
Stress management
-
Mind-body awareness
-
HOLISTIC OUTPUTS THAT EFFECT OUR QUALITY OF LIFE
-
Physical exercise
-
Community engagement
-
Relationships
-
Mental performance
The inputs affect the outputs and the outputs ultimately become our quality of life.
Just like you wouldn’t buy a new car and fill it with the wrong type of fuel or just never change the oil, you wouldn’t want to negate the investment you put into your health by ignoring one piece of the puzzle.
In the coming weeks we will be discussing each part of the holistic health puzzle.
While it may be easy to feel anxious or overwhelmed in today’s information age, our goal is to help you create small changes that can lead to big improvements.
Knowledge is power... as long as you know how to apply it!
